Bitossi
Bitossi Ceramiche began in the early 1900s and was built on ceramic production traditions of sixteenth century Montelupo Fiorentino (Florence). In 1921, Guido Bitossi cemented his family’s work in ceramics by transforming what was a local craft into Bitossi Ceramiche.
Still produced from the original factory in Florence and made with the same tools as were used in the 1950s, each piece carries the hand and the eye of the masterful ceramicist who gave it form.
With over 7000 original pieces produced from the 1950s onwards, the Bitossi archives are the source of a number of incredible limited edition collections. Many of their original pieces – the Rimini Blu collection, in particular - are sought after by collectors. Over 200 of these pieces can be viewed in their museum in Florence.
A Bitossi piece will no doubt be an object treasured for generations.
